Proven 655cc CP2 Engine

Yamaha's twin-cylinder DOHC engine delivers strong power and performance, providing a true Supersport experience. The 270-degree crossplane crankshaft offers linear torque for thrilling acceleration with minimal vibration. The YZF-R7 also shares the MT-07's intake duct shape and asymmetrical funnel lengths, enhancing induction roar and rider connectivity.

KYB Sports Suspension

The YZF-R7 features a KYB 41mm inverted front fork with optimized spring rates and damping for excellent cornering and braking. Its specific settings ensure predictable handling on twisty roads and tracks. The fork is fully adjustable for preload, rebound, and compression damping.

Third-Generation Quickshifter

The 2026 YZF-R7 features Yamaha's third-generation Quick Shift System (QSS) for clutchless upshifts and downshifts during acceleration and deceleration. It operates above 16 KM/H, with upshifts above 2000 RPM and downshifts above 1600 RPM.

Potent Braking Power

The YZF-R7 is Yamaha's first model with a Brembo radial brake master cylinder, offering improved hydraulic pressure to the four-pot front brake calipers and enhancing controllability and stopping power with dual 298mm rotors.

Lightweight SpinForged Wheels

Yamaha's spin-forging process creates sporty 10-spoke aluminium wheels that reduce unsprung weight, improving suspension action and responsiveness in cornering and braking. The YZF-R7 features high-performance Bridgestone® Battlax Hypersport S23 tyres.

5in TFT with Connectivity

The stunning 5-inch TFT display offers four themes and a track-specific mode. With Yamaha's free Y-Connect app, riders can receive notifications, calls, and music (using an aftermarket Bluetooth® headset). Turn-by-turn navigation is available via the free Garmin® StreetCross app.

New LED Lighting

The YZF-R7 showcases an M-shaped intake duct, a twin-eye front design, and an adaptive bi-functional LED headlight, along with LED taillights and turn signals. This compact lighting enhances the bike's style, providing long-lasting illumination with minimal power draw for improved visibility day and night.

Updated Ergonomics

The 2026 riding position has been improved for better rider movement and comfort. The handlebars are now slightly higher and closer, while the redesigned seat shape and lower height enhance ground reach. A new fuel tank shape also allows for greater freedom of movement forward and rearward.
