Our range of motorcycle jackets are built to withstand what the road can throw at you, and are built to withstand the toughest weather conditions. From waterproof jackets to textile jackets with thermal linings & breathable mesh, we have everything you need to stay warm and dry on your rides. Plus, a number of our jackets come with protective gestures in high risk injury areas including shoulder, elbow, and back protection to keep you safe in the event of a fall.
What types of motorcycle jackets are available?
Leather motorbike jackets that are made from high-quality leather and are known for their durability and abrasion resistance. Textile motorbike jackets are made from various materials like polyester, nylon, and Kevlar, and offer better protection and breathability against a wider range of weather conditions.
How should a motorbike jacket fit?
A motorbike jacket should fit quite snug but still be comfortable. When trying on a motorbike jacket, make sure that it fits well in the shoulders, chest, and waist. Typically, you should be able to move your arms freely, without restricting your breathing. Some of our road jackets have adjustable cuffs and waistbands to help with this. The sleeves should be long enough to cover your arms when you are in a riding position. It's also important to make sure the jacket isn’t too short, as it should cover your lower back when you are in a riding position so the back armour protects you.
What kind of safety & protection rating do road motorbike jackets have?
CE certification is used as a safety standard for motorcycle gear across Europe, which is also commonly used throughout Australia.
There are two common ratings of this protection including CE level 1 and CE level 2, with the latter providing higher levels of protection in critical impact areas. While a number of riding jackets can be CE certified, sometimes it will only be the protective inserts that will meet these levels. Apparel can also fall into the AAA-A classification, based on testing for the abrasion resistance of a jacket. Most of our jackets fall under AAA and AA classification, both with ample protection for motorcycle riding.
