Yamaha's twin-cylinder DOHC engine delivers impressive performance for a true Supersport experience. Its 270-degree crossplane crankshaft offers linear torque for thrilling acceleration and reduced vibration. The YZF-R7 features the MT-07's intake design, enhancing the induction roar and rider connection during acceleration.
The YZF-R7 is equipped with a fully adjustable KYB 41mm inverted front fork, featuring optimized spring rates and damping for improved front-end feel during cornering and braking. It offers predictable handling and a stiff response for twisty roads and racetracks.
The YZF-R7 features a Brembo radial brake master cylinder, offering a more linear hydraulic pressure for the radial-mounted, four-pot front brake calipers. This enhances controllability and stopping power with dual 298mm front rotors.
The 5in TFT instrument display offers four themes and a track-specific mode. With Yamaha's free Y-Connect app, riders can receive notifications, calls, and listen to music via an aftermarket Bluetooth® headset. Full turn-by-turn navigation is also available through the free Garmin® StreetCross app.
The YZF-R7 features an M-shaped intake duct and twin-eye front design with an adaptive bi-functional LED headlight. It also includes a LED taillight and turn signals, all contributing to its compact, next-gen style. The long-lasting LEDs provide excellent visibility day and night.
The 2026 riding position has been improved for better rider movement and comfort. Higher, closer handlebars aid upper body movement, while a redesigned seat shape and lower height enhance ground reach. A new fuel tank shape also boosts grip and allows greater movement freedom.
Yamaha's spin-forging process creates sporty 10-spoke aluminum wheels that enhance appearance and reduce unsprung weight, improving suspension action and responsiveness in cornering and braking. The YZF-R7 is also fitted with high-performance Bridgestone® Battlax Hypersport S23 tires.
