The YZF-R1 features new Brembo Stylema monobloc front calipers with 320mm rotors for excellent stopping power, complemented by a 220mm rear disc and compact floating caliper. High-quality braided stainless steel lines and a new Brembo master cylinder enhance control and feel.
The KYB front fork provides outstanding response and performance, featuring individual adjusters on both fork tubes for preload, high- and low-speed compression, and rebound adjustments to ensure precise damping control.
The YZF-R1 also comes equipped with a Quick Shift System that gives faster gear changing. This system instantly cancels drive torque when an upshift is detected – enabling full-throttle clutchless upshifts for outstanding acceleration through the close-ratio 6-speed transmission.
The 6-axis IMU includes gyro and G-sensors to enable rider aids like Traction Control System, Slide Control System, front wheel lift control, and Brake Control systems.
The Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) is activated by a high-tech twist grip assembly that provides precise and instant throttle response.
LED headlights are lightweight, compact, and provide excellent visibility. Integrated front turn signals and a stylish, highly visible LED tail light.
The YZF-R1 features seven electronic control systems, including the Brake Control (BC) system, which modulates brake pressure to prevent wheel lockups based on lean angle and slipping acceleration data.
