5 SpeedYamaha's class-dominating YZ450F sets the bar for motocross performance, delivering highly refined power and handling characteristics to level up your game.
The advanced DOHC four-stroke engine is light and compact with world-renowned and incredibly broad pulling power across the entire rev range, while the precisely tuned aluminium bilateral beam frame balances strength and flex to optimise stability and cornering performance, delivering better handling with a lighter feel, more agility, and increased traction, allowing the rider to enter corners with greater confidence and more line choices.
The YZ450F's advanced DOHC four-stroke engine is light and compact with world-renowned and incredibly broad pulling power across the entire rev range, thanks to its reversed cylinder head layout, forged aluminium piston, 39mm titanium valves, lightened crank assembly and dry sump lubrication.

A new frame design for 2026 emphasizes a balance between rigidity and flexibility. The revised inner and outer structures, including a thinner front downtube, result in a highly stable ride with enhanced front-end feedback for improved cornering performance.
Yamaha's Power Tuner App enables users to adjust engine performance, record race data, and monitor maintenance. It features easy tuning options, traction and launch control settings, a lap timer, and free guides, all at no cost.
Careful computer-aided design of each wheel’s cross-sectional profile shaves weight without sacrificing durability. The YZ450F's rear wheel comes laced with a three-cross-spoke pattern for improved impact absorption and rider feel.
The KYB suspension has been revised, including updated rear linkage and new settings front and rear. The rear shock lever ratio is revised for added traction and stability, and a lighter spring rate is used for the rear shock. Additionally, the front fork has tool-free compression clickers for easy adjustment.
The optimised intake path draws air from under the side covers and seat, allowing for a lighter, slimmer, and more compact shroud area. This redesign allows the airbox cover to be lower and narrower and the radiator shrouds to be slimmer.
The bike comes equipped with a 270-mm front brake rotor and a Nissin calliper, ensuring optimal braking performance. The rear brake has also been improved by reducing the rigidity of the brake hose, allowing for a wider range of control at the pedal.
Tri-shaft transmission layout vertically stacks the transmission shafts, raising the centre shaft and forming a triangle between the crank, drive shaft and main shaft for a lighter, more compact transmission.
To enhance rider comfort and usability, the new hydraulic clutch provides smooth and consistent engagement with minimal effort, reducing the need for on-track adjustments. Additionally, the redesigned clutch inner hub allows for lubrication over a larger area, resulting in improved performance, stability and increased longevity.
An industry-first ECU lock function is adopted for theft deterrence, allowing owners to prevent unauthorised engine start-up via a password-required lock function accessed through the Yamaha Power Tuner app.
