I've recently installed this engine case cover set on my 2014 MT09. Quality is great and I was able to install it in around 30 mins. All that you need is a few Allen keys (size 3 and 4 I think). It just bolts over the engine. The plastic is good quality and am confident it would save the engine in most low to mid speed crashes. Only minor point is that it's quite expensive, but still cheaper than replacing the OEM metal engine cases in a crash.
