High-Performance Carbon Fibre Modular Touring

The Nolan X-1005 Ultra Carbon Sandglass helmet redefines the modular category by combining lightweight carbon fibre construction with advanced touring functionality. As part of the exclusive Xseries, this helmet delivers a best-in-class solution for riders who demand premium protection without sacrificing the versatility of a flip-up design. Featuring dual P/J homologation, it provides legal and aerodynamic performance in both open and closed positions.

Key Features

• Carbon Fibre Shell: Constructed with a high-carbon content for superior strength and reduced weight across three outer shell sizes.
• Elliptical Chin Guard: Unique rotation trajectory minimizes the front profile when open to reduce the sail effect and wind resistance.
• Dual Action Opening: A secure and controlled chin guard mechanism designed to prevent accidental opening while remaining easy to operate.
• Carbon Fitting Liner: Interior padding uses active carbon filaments to regulate temperature, dissipate static, and manage moisture.
• Liner Positioning Control: Allows the rider to adjust the internal liner position to customise the fit and optimise comfort for different head shapes.
• Ultrawide Visor: Scratch-resistant shield provides an expansive field of view and includes adjustable Pinlock® pins for fog-free vision.
• Automatic VPS Sunscreen: Internal sun visor features a fog-resistant treatment and a convenient automatic retraction system.
• N-Com Integration: Factory-ready for seamless installation of Nolan N-Com communication systems and the Emergency Stop Signal (ESS).

Advanced Comfort and Airflow

The internal architecture of the X-1005 Ultra Carbon is engineered for long-distance touring. The liner features an innovative net construction that facilitates efficient airflow around the upper head, complemented by dedicated top and chin ventilation ports. For those who wear glasses, the Eyewear Adaptive system provides dedicated space in the cheek pads to accommodate frames comfortably. The entire interior, including the 3D-shaped cheek pads and chinstrap covers, is fully removable and washable to ensure hygiene over many seasons of use.
