This design enhances strength and reduces chain wear. Exclusive to EK Chains, the chromium carbide pin surface coating offers superior impact and shock absorption while minimising oxidation from natural elements. The 520MRD7 model also includes lightening holes in the side plates, which reduce the chain's overall weight by 3% without compromising tensile strength. These holes help extend the chain's service life by dissipating heat and reducing the buildup of dirt and mud.
