The YZ250 is pure performance and full‑throttle fun in a lightweight and reliable two‑stroke machine.
On the track or on the trail, the YZ250’s exhilarating 250cc liquid-cooled engine provides an instant hit of power for holeshot-winning acceleration. It’s industry-leading KYB® suspension offers outstanding handling, and the slim bodywork and flat seat ease rider movement when braking, accelerating and cornering.
Lightweight, compact, and fun, the YZ's 249cc liquid-cooled reed-valve-inducted two-stroke engine features the patented Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) that delivers crisp response and an incredibly wide, hard-hitting powerband.
Race-ready styling features sharp graphics and aggressive bodywork, including blacked-out radiator shrouds, number plates, and smaller details like fork guards and brake disc protectors. The wide foot pegs highlight the YZ250's impressive two-stroke racing pedigree.
The advanced suspension offers control and comfort with a class-leading 48mm inverted KYB® fork featuring a leaf spring for precise damping. The fully adjustable KYB® rear shock includes reduced-friction Kashima Coat internals, separate high- and low-speed compression damping adjusters, and a full lock oil rebound system for exceptional handling.
A finely engineered advanced aluminum frame and swingarm provide the YZ250 with the best handling in the 250cc class, while the removable aluminum rear subframe, made of square-section tubing, reduces weight.
The high-performance braking system includes a 270mm front rotor, a 240mm rear rotor, larger front pistons, and sturdy calipers, all working together to deliver outstanding braking power and responsiveness.
Equipped with an aluminum handlebar, a two-position adjustable handlebar clamp, lightweight bar pad, wide footpegs, a gripper seat, and an adjustable clutch lever with a works-style cable adjuster, the YZ250 is competition-ready straight out of the crate.
