The Yamaha TRACER 9 GT redefines middleweight sport touring by truly putting the ‘Grand’ in Grand Touring. This technology-rich all-rounder embodies Yamaha’s sporting heritage and serves as a reliable companion for longer rides. Whether navigating twisty back roads or cruising along open highways, this latest generation of the popular model stands out as the most refined yet.
Yamaha’s sporting legacy is evident in the TRACER 9 GT, featuring a Deltabox frame and fully adjustable electronic suspension. These components create a motorcycle that excels when you want to push hard on your favourite roads. With integrated riding modes and a six-axis IMU that controls lean-sensitive rider aids, the TRACER 9 GT introduces a new level of sophistication to the middleweight sport touring segment. Additionally, Yamaha's third-generation quickshifter comes standard, allowing riders to effortlessly tap into the engine’s impressive mid-range power.
The Tracer 9 GT features Yamaha’s renowned 890cc CP3 engine, offering strong, linear torque for impressive performance on tours or commutes. Its lightweight design includes Yamaha’s Acceleration Position Sensor Grip (APSG) and Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) for exceptional response without cables or pulleys.
The 7” TFT features three themes and Garmin LinkBox connectivity for integrated navigation. Calls, messages, and music are accessible via the Yamaha MyRide App and controlled with the left-hand joystick. It also includes a USB-A outlet for on-the-go charging.
The adaptive Matrix LED headlight revolutionizes motorcycle lighting. Using a built-in camera, it detects traffic conditions and automatically adjusts individual LEDs to provide optimal illumination.
The TRACER 9 GT comes with Yamaha’s third-generation quickshifter system. Working in conjunction with the YRC ride modes, the shifter facilitates clutchless upshifts and auto-blip-assisted changes down the gearbox with a wider operating range than before.
The TRACER 9 GT provides a customizable riding experience with Yamaha Ride Control (YRC). It features three preloaded settings (SPORT, STREET, and RAIN) and two customizable maps accessible via the dashboard or MyRide app, allowing riders to adjust engine power and electronic interventions to their preferences.
Designed for the TRACER 9 GT, KYB’s KADS (KYB Actimatic Damper System) is the most advanced electronic suspension on any Yamaha motorcycle. It uses a six-axis IMU and ECU to adjust damping in real-time, ensuring an optimal riding experience across different loads and road conditions.
Yamaha’s Smart Key System lets you start the Tracer 9 GT without a physical key. The key fob works when near the bike, enabling central locking for the steering lock, fuel cap, and standard hard side cases. Yamaha's genuine accessory top box functions the same way.
The TRACER 9 GT features enhanced wind protection with a redesigned fairing and windscreen. Its wind tunnel-tested design reduces buffeting, ensuring a fresher ride for both the rider and pillion. The electronically controlled windscreen offers 100mm of stepless adjustment for personalized aerodynamics.
The 2025 TRACER 9 GT features a 50mm longer subframe for improved space and comfort for riders and passengers. It includes flatter, more padded seat pads and a revised handlebar position for a relaxed posture, especially on long rides. The saddle is also designed to be slimmer at the standover point, enhancing accessibility at a standstill.
The TRACER 9 GT features cruise control for comfortable highway riding, adjustable from third gear in 1km/h or 10km/h increments. It also includes a speed limiter to help riders stay within the speed limit.
The Tracer 9 GT features heated handlebar grips with 10 warmth levels and three user-programmable presets. These grips provide quick warmup and even heat distribution, and they can be used with the heated rider seat, available as a Yamaha accessory.
