Enhanced Race-Winning Performance

The 2027 KX250FX engine keeps its strong performance elements, including finger-follower valve actuation and optimised intake and exhaust flow. With refinements for increased output, improved throttle response, and efficient power transfer, it delivers enhanced race-ready performance on the track.

Enhanced Stability

The KX250FX cross-country racer features enhancements for better performance while maintaining light handling. Key updates include revised suspension settings for improved traction on tough surfaces and a lighter, more compact silencer on non-North American models, enhancing mass centralisation and power utilisation.

Optimised Performance

Cross-country-specific tuning for the suspension, complemented by a 21”/18” wheel combination fitted with enduro-type tyres, and convenient standard features like a side stand make the new KX250FX even more attractive for cross-country competitors.

Power Modes, Kawasaki Traction Control, and Launch Control Mode

Power Mode selection, Kawasaki TRaction Control and Launch Control Mode are all accessible from the left handle switches at the push of a button. And with smartphone connectivity, riders can adjust engine maps right from their smartphones.

Two Modes to Suit Conditions or Preference

Using the Mode (M) button on the left handlebar, riders can quickly and easily switch between two engine maps (Normal, Aggressive) provided in the ECU. For the 2027 KX250FX, the FI settings in Aggressive mode were revised to deliver a sharper throttle response, offering characteristics that make it easier for riders to extract the strong acceleration they are looking for.

Putting Power to the Ground

While the KX250F features F21”/R19” aluminium rims, the KX250FX uses a F21”/R18” combination that facilitates putting power to the ground. Dunlop AT81 enduro-type tyres complement the KX250FX-specific wheels and are well-suited to the situations encountered in cross-country riding.

Protection & Convenience

A sealed chain suitable for long races and a rear brake disc guard help add to the KX250FX’s trail-riding performance, while the convenient side stand comes in handy when stopping away from the paddock area.

Short-Type Silencer

A new short-type silencer is featured on the KX250FX. The new unit is 50 mm shorter and 230 g lighter, contributing to mass centralisation and a lighter, more responsive handling character.

ODI Lock-On Grips

Medium-compound ODI Lock-On Grips offer excellent grip feel, while their screw-type fastening system greatly facilitates the task of swapping grips.
