Very happy with these riding shoes. They are light, comfortable and very natural for walking around in. I also like the extra grip on the soles for putting my feet down in slippery conditions or keeping a strong (but not too strong) grip on the semi-serrated pegs of my scrambler. They are very snug fitting around the ankle which makes them a bit hard to get on and off, but has the advantage that they hopefully won't just rip straight off in a crash! The protection feels good for a shoe. I can't twist the sole no matter how hard I try. I'm trusting the manufacturer on the abrasion resistance of the material though. I can't believe they offer as much protection as a full boot but I'm safety conscious and don't feel irresponsible wearing them for the kind of riding I do. Definitely recommended.
