6 SpeedThe new learner-approved YZF-R15M, born from Yamaha's racing heritage, elevates racing inspiration with its powerful liquid-cooled 155cc engine. This engine features a high compression ratio for enhanced sporty performance. Additionally, the Variable Valve Actuation technology improves low-end torque and top-end power.
Equipped with traction control, an Assist and Slipper (A&S) clutch, a quick shifter, smartphone connectivity, and visually striking graphics inspired by the R1M, this entry-level motorcycle offers a lightweight and sporty option perfect for city commuting.
The liquid-cooled, single-overhead-camshaft fuel-injected engine produces a maximum power of 13.5 kW (18.4 PS) and a maximum torque of 14.2 N·m (1.4 kg·m). Additionally, the engine features a Traction Control System, an Assist-and-Slipper (A&S) clutch, and an upshift quickshifter.
This is a unique high-performance VVA system that provides torque for ease of use, even at low RPM. There are two intake valve cams: one for low- to mid-range rpm and another for high rpm. They switch between each other at the 7400rpm mark to ensure good power and torque are present throughout the entire rev range.
Enjoy great performance with superior control. R15M comes with 282mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which means precise braking and restricted wheel lockups even at high speed. This ensures a confident, inspiring ride.
The R15 has an electronic TCS system that prevents wheelspin and loss of traction. It adjusts engine power output to provide smooth starts.
The racing-inspired bodywork is now more aerodynamic, with better airflow management the rider can reach top speed faster and is also helpful in the high-speed stability of the machine.
The up-shift Quick Shifter allows for clutch-less shifting of gears. It increases the comfort of riding because it eliminates the need to use the clutch or throttle before and after a gearshift.
With YZF-R15M you can now stay connected even on the move. The Yamaha Y-Connect App displays phone notifications on your instrument cluster screen, while diagnostic information, parking location and other features can be views on the smartphone app.
To take sporty handling on twisty roads to the next level, the new R15M employs an upside-down front suspension fork with 37mm inner tubes. Upside-down front forks improve rigidity and provide stability while taking high-speed turns or during high braking input.
