5 SpeedThe YZ250X provides punchy two-stroke performance for XC courses and woods rides, combining hard-hitting power with an advanced chassis and ergonomics that eat up miles of trail.

The lightweight, compact and fun, 249cc liquid-cooled two-stroke engine features enduro-optimized compression ratio, YPVS timing and a model-specific digital CDI unit, all focused on creating a broad, usable power delivery specifically suited to cross country competition.

A carefully engineered, advanced aluminium frame and swingarm give the YZ250X the famous handling proven by the championship winning YZ250 motocross machine on tracks around the world. Tips the scales at just 104kg with all fluids – which makes it lighter than a four-stroke.

Smooth-shifting, five-speed wide-ratio transmission ensures proper gearing for tight woods sections and wide-open fire roads.

The exhaust expansion chamber is specifically designed for the YZ250X. It is narrow for better clearance on tight, technical trails while still providing excellent exhaust efficiency.

The YZ250X's cross country competition-focus includes an 18-inch rear wheel, wide-ratio gearing, standard side stand, sealed O-ring chain and reserve fuel petcock.

To increase cross-country rider confidence, the YZ250X's smoothly integrated body panels, narrow fuel tank design, slim shroud width, and flat seat all combine to enable greater freedom of movement forward and back, allowing the rider to easily shift body weight for better control.

With exceptional durability and a premium appearance, the blue Excel® rims come wrapped in high-performance Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires that deliver race-ready performance for a wide range of terrain.

The fully adjustable KYB 48mm forks now offer tool-free compression adjustment at the top of each fork leg. The speed-sensitive system utilizes piston speed to regulate the damping force, resulting in precise handling, excellent bump absorption, and 300mm of suspension travel.

Large front pistons, a rigid calliper, a 270mm front rotor with a large pad contact area, and a 240mm rear rotor are all components of a high-performance braking system that work together to deliver remarkable braking feel and power.
