Tuned for cross-country performance, the compact, powerful YZ250FX engine features a high-spec piston, aggressive cam profiles and a forward-positioned intake cylinder head layout. The advanced four-stroke engine is known for its broad, usable powerband and class-leading low-end and mid-range torque.
The YZ250FX's advanced aluminium bilateral beam frame provides just the right amount of strength and flex for the perfect balance of stability and cornering performance. The result is a well-handling machine with a light feel, controllable agility and increased traction, allowing the rider to charge corners with confidence.
With a slim, flat, compact body that makes for a razor-thin feel and effortless body movement when shifting weight forward and back, ergonomics are optimised. With enough room between the seat and footpegs, the rider triangle is roomy.
Yamaha's free Power Tuner App brings GYTR® tuning to your smartphone. Adjust fueling and ignition timing, then upload changes to your bike for on-the-spot tuning. Features include a simple tuning slide bar, four-level Traction and Launch Control tuning, a lap timer, and tuning guides for engine and suspension.
The adjustable KYB® coil spring fork offers unmatched performance with speed-sensitive damping for optimal handling and bump absorption, along with a tool-free compression adjustment. The linkage-type rear suspension features a KYB® shock tuned for stability and reduced pitch during cornering.
The YZ250FX comes race-ready out of the crate with an electric starting system, a 2.1-gallon fuel tank, wide-ratio six-speed transmission, rugged plastic skid plate, 18-inch rear wheel, sealed drive chain and high-performance Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tyres.
