Based on the renowned YZ125 motocrosser, the YZ125X is optimized for the specific demands of enduro and cross-country racing. It features a powerful Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) equipped 125cc two-stroke engine, paired with a six-speed transmission, providing an exceptional powerplant for cross-country performance.
The ultra-lightweight aluminum semi-double cradle frame is designed to deliver competition-ready handling and stability.
Additionally, it comes with top-of-the-line Speed Sensitive KYB® spring-type front fork and a high-performance KYB® long-travel rear shock, both fully adjustable and tuned to meet the unique requirements of cross-country racing.
The advanced, liquid-cooled YPVS-equipped 125cc two-stroke engine of YZ125 delivers impressive acceleration and thrilling power in mid to high RPM ranges, along with excellent usability.
A race-proven, highly developed aluminum semi-double cradle frame is engineered to provide the perfect balance of rigidity and flex for competition-ready handling and composure. The removable aluminum rear subframe is constructed from square-section tubing to reduce weight.
The YZ125X number 1 features an 18-inch rear wheel, a standard side stand, a sealed O-ring chain, a reserve fuel petcock, a lightweight bar pad, and a headlight with a scraper located between the fork's dust and oil seal, all contributing to exceptional off-road performance.
A sporty ‘gripper’ style seat and a slim fuel tank, combined with a tapered aluminum handlebar and adjustable mounts, enhance rider movement and ergonomic comfort.
Dunlop Geomax MX33 tyres, designed for cross-country racing, are ready for competition. The 18-inch rear tyre features a taller sidewall that enhances comfort and reduces the risk of pinch flats.
KYB spring-type forks have adjustable compression at the top of each leg. They provide precise handling and a smooth ride, designed for off-road racing.
