6 SpeedThe YZ125X is a lightweight, fast, two-stroke fun machine that makes the perfect entry into cross country and enduro competition.
The YZ125X's advanced, liquid-cooled 125cc two-stroke engine is optimized for enduro-style competition utilizing an optimized compression ratio, YPVS timing, and a model-specific digital CDI unit, all focused on creating a broad, usable power delivery for cross country riding and racing.
The lightweight, race-proven YZ125-spec aluminum semi-double cradle frame is engineered to provide the perfect balance of rigidity and flex for competition-ready handling character and composure, while its removable aluminum rear subframe is constructed of square-section tubing for reduced weight.
Designed for cross-country competition, the YZ125X runs an 18-inch rear wheel, enduro-focused suspension setup, larger rear sprocket, side stand, sealed O-ring chain, and reserve fuel petcock.
A narrow fuel tank and a racy ‘gripper’ type seat, coupled with a tapered aluminium handlebar and adjustable mounts, offer greater freedom of movement with more comfortable ergonomics for riders.
With exceptional durability and a premium appearance, the blue Excel® rims come wrapped in high-performance Dunlop® Geomax MX33 tires that deliver race-ready performance for a wide range of terrain.
KYB spring-type forks, which are industry leaders in terms of adjustability, now have tool-free compression adjustment at the top of each leg. The speed-sensitive damping controls damping force based on piston speed, resulting in super-precise handling and a smooth ride with minimal wasted stroke or abrupt shocks for the rider—all tuned for off-road racing.
