It's been 20 years since Yamaha defined the sports touring concept with the introduction of the FJR1300. This motorcycle, known for its exceptionally smooth four-cylinder engine, has gained a cult-like following among owners due to its ability to cover long distances in supreme comfort.
The FJR1300AE features a silky smooth 1298cc inline-four engine, paired with a quiet six-speed transmission that includes a lightweight assist and slipper clutch. It also boasts a lean-angle-sensitive LED lighting system, a long-range 25-litre fuel tank, and an aerodynamic fairing with an electronically adjustable windscreen. Additionally, the adjustable riding position ensures that riders can travel in comfort and style.
The Yamaha YCC-T offers smooth power, strong acceleration, and impressive performance over long distances.
The rider can easily select suspension settings using a handlebar-mounted switch: ‘One-Up’, ‘One-Up with Luggage’, ‘Two-Up’, or ‘Two-Up with Luggage’. Each setting also allows for ‘Soft’, ‘Standard’, or ‘Hard’ damping options.
The FJR1300AE has a 6-speed transmission for quick acceleration and smooth downshifting with an AS clutch.
The FJR1300AE features an easy cruise control for relaxed long-distance touring, operating between 50-180 km/h.
Yamaha D-MODE allows two running modes, 'T' and 'S', adjusting engine performance via throttle.
This electronic system uses sensors to detect any rear wheel spin, and as soon as the rear tyre loses traction the TCS instantaneously adjusts the bike's ignition timing, as well as the fuel injection volume and throttle opening.
The FJR1300AE features twin-eye headlights with four LED units, adaptive cornering lights, and advanced technology.
