The liquid-cooled 998 cc In-Line Four Balanced Supercharged Engine produces peak power unprecedented in Z Supernaked model history. The engine generates strong low- to mid-range torque and provides smooth, responsive acceleration, resulting in powerful yet manageable power.
The Kawasaki Racing Team-inspired dog-ring transmission delivers high-performance shifting with light operation and crisp, rapid shifts for quick acceleration.
The assist cam reduces clutch spring load, resulting in lighter clutch lever operation and less rider fatigue in city riding situations such as stop-and-go traffic or traffic jams. The slipper cam relieves pressure from back-torque, preventing the rear tyre from hopping and skidding during downshifting.
