The SE takes the 1100SX's sport-touring formula and fits it with genuinely premium componentry — Öhlins on the rear, Brembo up front, heated grips for the days the standard bike would leave you cold. It's the same quick, capable sport tourer underneath, just with the parts that serious riders would otherwise upgrade to themselves, fitted from the factory.
A Brembo front brake package gives the SE serious, race-proven stopping power to match its sport-bike performance.
A factory-fitted Öhlins rear shock gives the SE genuinely premium damping control most riders would otherwise pay to retrofit.
