HONDA CBR1000RR-R (SP)
EVERYTHING BUT THE FACTORY CONTRACT
The engine of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is shorter forward to back than the previous version, making the bike more lightweight and giving our designers more flexibility in the location of the engine in the frame.
ÖHLINS SECOND-GENERATION SMART EC SUSPENSION
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP uses an electronically controlled NPX fork developed by Öhlins. By adding a pressurized damping system to the NIX fork used by the previous CBR1000RR SP, cavitation inside the damper is minimized to further stabilize the damping force and improve bump absorption.
COMPACT OVERALL CHASSIS
The CBR1000RR-R SP wheelbase is just 57.3 inches for super-responsive handling, while the swing arm is 24.5 inches long. The middle line of the crankshaft is 33 mm further from the front axle and 16 mm higher for improved front / back alignment with the rider on board.
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is fitted with winglets that efficiently produce downforce at track speeds. In order to fix downforces, three wings are mounted in each of the right and left ducts.
The swing arm of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP has been extended by 30.5 mm for better grip on the track. Horizontal swingarm rigidity was also decreased by 15%, while vertical rigidity remained the same.
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP muffler was created jointly with Akrapovič. It is made of lightweight titanium, and the construction also adds to the mass centralisation of the frame. A special exhaust valve helps boost the torque at lower revs and raises the horsepower at higher rpm.
The front brake discs of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP have a wide diameter of 330 mm to boost braking force. The bike uses the front calipers of the Brembo Stylema, while the rear caliper is the same as the Brembo used on the RC213V-S.
The CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP uses a lightweight aluminum chassis with 2 mm thick wall parts. Vertical and torsional rigidity improved by 18 per cent and 9 per cent, respectively, and horizontal rigidity decreased by 11 per cent for better feel and efficiency.
The quick shifter of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP is a regular feature. It's the best alternative for a trackday rider, which makes changing easier than ever before.
HONDA SELECTABLE TORQUE CONTROL
The machine dynamically changes the strength of the engine to maximize the torque at the rear wheel, reducing the slippage of the rear wheel. You'll get your pick of five power curves, ten torque-control levels, 3 engine-braking settings, and now 3 selectable levels.
FULL-COLOR TFT METER
You can select from the screen settings menu that show the details you want in the format you want, such as engine temperature, driving modes, speedometer and tachometer, shifter settings, ABS level, gear position, remaining power, and more.
Eliminating conventional keyed ignition not only provides ease, but also allows one to streamline the intake line for greater air flow. Plus, the top triple clamp has the appearance of a real road bike.
