Introducing the lightest and most powerful production crossover bike in the world: the M XR, or as we fondly call it, the MaXimizeR. This bike is the epitome of an M bike, designed to offer maximum performance for long-distance rides. With the M XR, you can expect to maximize your riding experience, endurance, and adrenaline rush. The M XR has everything you need for speed. The beating heart is its extremely powerful and high-revving ShiftCam engine with 148 kW (201 hp) and a maximum speed of 14,600 rpm.
When your M XR starts up, you are immersed in the full M experience. The TFT display switches on with the unmistakable M start-up animation and shows itself ready for your challenges.
With the carbon parts of the M Competition package on the M 1000 XR Competition, the M XR is 3kg lighter. These include M Carbon wheels, M Carbon mudguards, M Carbon side sections, and M Carbon cockpit interior trim.
The motorsport genes of the M XR are in every detail, from the M-milled parts on the M 1000 XR Competition, such as the M clutch and brake lever, to the slim rear section with a steep titanium rear silencer and short number plate carrier.
The optional M brake offers maximum performance and resistance, fading stability, and excellent dosing. Externally, it is recognisable by the blue eloxal coating and M logo.
The M winglets tame the brute power of the M XR. They generate downforces at high speeds and thus provide greater driving stability, a lower tendency to do wheelies, as well as a smoother ride.
The front has an "all-black" finish, including the milled, black upper fork bridge and legs. The M colours create an unmistakable visual asymmetry and, together with the tinted Sport windscreen, emphasise the bike's performance-oriented character.
The M Carbon wheels, available only on the M 1000 XR Competition with sports tyres, take the handling of your M XR to an unimaginable level by reducing rotational mass. This way you get full power on the road from first gear.
