Following on from the success of the Tuareg Racing project comes the Aprilia Tuareg Rally, an unashamed derivation of the competition version crowned Queen of Africa in the Africa Eco Race. The new benchmark in twin-cylinders is set to dominate the most challenging off-road itineraries.
Aprilia celebrates its triumphs with the Tuareg Rally on some of the world’s most extreme terrains. From the Italian Motorally Championship & TT Raid to the Baja Aragón, the Hellas Rally Raid and, of course, the adventure that knows no limits, the Africa Eco Race, the Tuareg Rally has proven unstoppable. Each rally challenges the riders’ courage and is testament to the Tuareg’s winning versatility and the unwavering passion of the Aprilia Racing team.
The Aprilia Tuareg Rally features a modern twin-cylinder engine that meets Euro 5+ standards, producing 80 hp and 70 Nm of torque. It has 52 mm throttle bodies for better response and a generator that enhances acceleration and off-road performance by reducing inertia.
The Tuareg Rally’s fully adjustable Kayaba fork and monoshock, with 240 mm of travel, use springs with a linear rather than progressive elastic spring rate. This setup improves control on rough terrain and reduces static sag, increasing both the height and the actual travel of the suspension.
The Tuareg Rally sports an SC Project exhaust with an all-titanium muffler featuring a racing-style rim and generous 60 mm outlet.
A key feature is its further reduced weight, which enhances feel and balance and is the best in the category. Courtesy of the specialised wheel set and titanium exhaust, the overall weight drops from the Aprilia Tuareg’s 204 kg to a wet weight of just 199 kg, resulting in improved agility and responsiveness.
The heavy-duty spoked wheels with narrow Ergal rims are designed to be hardwearing and lightweight. In unison with knobby tires with inner tubes, they deliver excellent traction and riding precision on rugged terrain.
The vehicle has four riding modes: Urban, Explore, Off-Road, and Individual. ABS can be turned off on either or both wheels. It includes features like Traction Control and Cruise Control, accessible via a 5-inch TFT screen.
