Lightweight, powerful, and designed for cross-country competition, the YZ250X is Yamaha's premier two-stroke woods racer. Featuring the legendary 249cc YZ liquid-cooled, reed-valve-inducted two-stroke engine, the YZ250X is tailored for off-road racing. It comes equipped with an 18-inch rear wheel, wide-ratio gearing (a five-speed transmission), a standard side stand, a sealed O-ring chain, a reserve fuel petcock, and a scraper positioned between the fork's dust and oil seals, all contributing to its exceptional performance.
The legendary YZ250 features a 249cc liquid-cooled, reed-valve two-stroke engine designed for a wide, controllable power delivery, ideal for off-road racing.
The YZ250X features a meticulously designed, advanced aluminum frame and swingarm that provide the famous handling associated with the championship-winning YZ250 motocross machine, renowned on tracks worldwide. It weighs only 104 kg with all fluids, making it lighter than a four-stroke.
Smooth-shifting, five-speed wide-ratio transmission ensures proper gearing for tight woods sections and wide-open fire roads.
The exhaust expansion chamber is specifically designed for the YZ250X. It is narrow for better clearance on tight, technical trails while still providing excellent exhaust efficiency.

Cross-country-spec Dunlop Geomax MX33 tyres, both front and rear, are ready for the races. The 18-inch rear tyre features a tall sidewall to improve comfort and reduce pinch flats.
The fully adjustable KYB 48mm forks now offer tool-free compression adjustment at the top of each fork leg. The speed-sensitive system utilizes piston speed to regulate the damping force, resulting in precise handling, excellent bump absorption, and 300mm of suspension travel.
Large front pistons, a rigid calliper, a 270mm front rotor with a large pad contact area, and a 240mm rear rotor are all components of a high-performance braking system that work together to deliver remarkable braking feel and power.
