The XSR900 holds its own on all routes, whether it is on those daydreaming twisty roads or the open straight, it feels at home doing both. Equipped with the most modern electronics package that gives every rider the highest level of controllability in any type of situation. And with its sporty Quick Shifter as well as a relaxed Cruise Control, you can go as you please with this 3-cylinder muscle machine.
Don’t be fooled by the timeless good looks of the XSR900, because underneath that 80’s sport bike look there’s some serious high-performance technology. Not only does it come with the smooth 890cc CP3 engine with a ton of torque, but it’s also fitted with a lightweight Deltabox-style chassis with Brembo radial master cylinder, lightweight Spinforged wheels and fully adjustable suspension.
Yamaha's 890cc CP3 engine perfectly suits the XSR900's sporty Deltabox chassis. It provides high linear torque, offering thrilling performance and a relaxed ride. Its tuned intake and exhaust make every ride sound amazing.
Yamaha’s Deltabox frame design, created for race bikes in the 1980s, is strong yet light. The XSR900 uses the latest Deltabox with varied wall thickness for improved handling.
The XSR900’s fuel tank draws inspiration from Yamaha’s 80s Grand Prix road racers. It has front air intakes that improve engine efficiency and create a strong intake sound for the rider. The design includes a 14-litre fuel tank and humped seat, positioning the rider behind the bike's midpoint. Care was taken with the shapes of the fuel tank, seat, and handlebars.
The XSR900 features full LED lighting with a split projector and half-round position lamp, styled in a round retro-effect headlamp. The hidden taillight has a smoked appearance that enhances the bike’s pure and timeless looks, while compact and bright LED flashers complete the lighting package.
The XSR900 comes with a high specification as standard and includes a Quick Shift System for clutchless upshifts and downshifts, as well as an Assist & Slipper (A&S) clutch for increased chassis controllability when slowing down. The Cruise Control is ideal for when you’re in a relaxed mood.
The XSR900’s technical specifications feature a Brembo radial master cylinder and 298mm dual front discs for strong braking power and control. Fully adjustable USD forks and a link-type rear suspension can be customised, and Yamaha’s Spinforged wheels reduce unsprung weight for better handling.
The XSR900 features a new five-inch full-colour TFT display with four display themes for different riding experiences. It also includes smartphone connectivity through the MyRide app.
The ergonomics of this excellent sport heritage bike offer flexibility for various riding styles – sports, urban, or relaxed. The slightly rear-biased position and wide handlebars create a roadster feel, while the comfortable seat enhances security. The XSR900 seat is now sleeker and more stylish.
