The DR-Z4S is capable of taking riders wherever they want to go.
On or off the road, nothing prevents the rider from fully enjoying every outing. It also expresses how we have taken a proven, class-leading product and thoroughly updated it in terms of performance and styling to realise the latest interpretation of what a superior dual-sport motorcycle should offer in the coming years.
DR-Z4S now includes the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), comprised of the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), the Suzuki Traction Control System (STSC), Ride-by-Wire Electronic Throttle System, ABS with Front & Rear ABS OFF mode, and the Suzuki Easy Start System.
398cm3, fuel-injected, single-cylinder, four-valve DOHC. The thoroughly revised engine still retains the same proven level of performance that makes the DR-Z4S so compelling. Many engine components have been changed to comply with the Euro 5+ emissions standards, OBD II requirements, and the latest noise regulations.
The new DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM models have better stability and rider confidence with a new frame design. The strong steel frame absorbs shocks, improving comfort on trails and circuits.
Handling is precise, and the DR-Z4S/SM is easy to manoeuvre, thanks in part to the long suspension travel and optimized damping characteristics. Both models employ long-travel, adjustable KYB inverted front forks and a fully adjustable KYB rear suspension.
Switching to a fuel injection system strengthens the engine, improves low-speed control, and enhances performance. It optimizes fuel-air ratio for smoother operation and faster starts in cold weather. The 10-hole injector boosts efficiency and lowers fuel consumption.
S. I. R. S. includes advanced electronic rider assist systems that enhance performance based on your riding needs. The new DR-Z4S/SM features Suzuki Drive Mode Selector, Traction Control, Ride-by-Wire throttle, and Easy Start System for a more confident riding experience.
The newly designed LCD instrument panel is both light and compact. It features a clearly legible display that not only supplies critical real-time operating status information but also keeps you informed of the settings for the respective on-board systems.
The ergonomic switch layout maximizes operating ease so you can access all controls while remaining focused on riding. Select modes or change settings for each of the advanced electronic rider assist systems by simply operating the MODE and UP/DOWN switches on the left handlebar.
Both the high and low beams are incorporated into one bright LED projector headlight that is compact, light and durable. LED position lights integrated right into the turn signal assemblies help round out the functional yet minimalistic lighting scheme.
The rear combination light and licence plate light both employ compact LEDs that create a highly visible and striking lighting scheme, contributing to the futuristic appeal of the tough, modern styling.
Light, strong, and flexible, the tapered aluminium handlebars fitted with half-waffle grips provide a solid grip and positive control and help reduce fatigue by absorbing shocks from rough surfaces. The mirrors adopt a tough-looking new parallelogram design.
The DR-Z4S is fitted with IRC dual-purpose tyres that provide optimum traction both on and off the road. Fitter to 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels.
The DR-Z4S has 270 mm single front disc and 240 mm rear disc brakes providing sure and stable stopping power. Axial mount callipers provide resistance to vibration when riding over rough terrain.
Optimized seat width, improves comfort when riding on rough terrain or trails, and the seat’s highly durable design supports the rider well when shifting body weight.
The fuel tank features a flush, lightweight design with a capacity of 8.7 litres.
