RIDE BOLD

The Ninja 650 (LAMS) motorcycle comes packed with a sporty 649 cc engine, next-level technology advancements and sharp styling. Unmistakable sports performance is met with an upright riding position for exciting daily commutes, while a supreme level of attitude reminds you of its legendary heritage.

EXCITING PARALLEL TWIN ENGINE

Tuning of the 649cc Parallel Twin engine focused on achieving a throttle response that balanced a powerful feeling and a quick-revving character. To optimise performance for everyday riding, care was taken to maximise low-mid range torque.

LIGHT WEIGHT, NIMBLE HANDLING

Benefitting from a chassis comprised of lightweight components, the Ninja 650 weighs 192 kg. Designed using Kawasaki’s new in-house analysis technology, the lightweight trellis frame and swingarm were the key to the Ninja 650’s ultra-light handling.

BALANCED & RESPONSIVE

Horizontal Back-link rear suspension offers a progressive character and delivers a balance of sporty performance and ride comfort. The telescopic front fork is a part of a balanced suspension package, tuned to provide progressive damping with a high level of feedback to the rider.

SPORTY TYRES

Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres contribute to the sportiest and most enticing ride yet.

ASSIST & SLIPPER CLUTCH

An Assist & Slipper Clutch helps to put the power to the ground while providing an extremely light pull at the lever and reducing rear-wheel chatter during downshifts.

COMFORT MEETS DESIGN

Contributing to the Ninja 650’s sporty appearance, the low windscreen is flush-fit with the upper cowl. Its upright angle maintains sufficient wind protection for a comfortable ride when speeds pick up.

LED LIGHTING

Twin LED headlights, each featuring a low and high beam as well as a position lamp, cast a bright light while contributing to a strong Ninja family look. At the rear, an LED taillight lights up in an “X” pattern, contributing to the sporty image.

SMOOTH LINES

Hooks are used instead of fairing bolts, creating a clean, smooth surface for a high-class appeal.

LIGHTWEIGHT TRELLIS FRAME

One of the key components to achieving the Ninja 650’s light weight (noticeable as soon as the bike is lifted off its side-stand), the trellis frame weighs only 15 kg and contributes significantly to the bike’s light, nimble handling.

USEFUL INFORMATION AT A GLANCE

4.3” all-digital TFT (thin-film transistor) colour instrumentation gives the cockpit a high-tech, high-grade appearance and excellent visibility. The screen’s background colour is selectable (black or white), and screen brightness adjusts automatically to suit available light.

LOW SEAT HEIGHT & EASY MANOEUVRABILITY

The combination of a low 790 mm seat height and a slim chassis that makes it easy to reach the ground enables a wide range of riders to enjoy the Ninja 650 with confidence. The easy-to-manage engine response and strong low-end torque further facilitate low-speed maneuvering.
