The KX112 builds on the strengths of its predecessor, providing even greater potential for success in a highly competitive class. The increase in power is immediately noticeable, making the KX112 feel faster throughout the track, particularly in areas where riders can benefit from its enhanced low-end torque.
Power and torque are improved across the rev range, with peak power approximately 5% greater. Special care was taken to increase low-end torque, which is key to achieving a racer-friendly engine character.
Complementing the increased power of the KX112 engine is an all-new 6-speed transmission.
Both the front and rear suspension systems can be customized according to the rider's preferences. The front features a 36 mm inverted cartridge fork that provides adjustable compression damping and offers 275 mm of travel. In the rear, the Uni Trak suspension also has 275 mm of travel and includes adjustments for compression, rebound, and preload.
The bike has a 220mm petal brake rotor in the front and a 184mm rotor in the rear, providing progressive braking for added confidence. The petal design reduces unsprung weight and keeps the brake pads clean and cool, ensuring consistent braking with a firm feel.
A strong connection with your machine is vital for speed and control, especially for aspiring racers. The KX112, similar to Kawasaki’s larger motocross bikes, boasts slim bodywork that enhances rider movement and delivers an impressive factory look.
Shrouds designed for a wider range of riders make it easier for them to find a good fit on the bike. The new shroud design also directs air to the radiator more efficiently, which enhances cooling performance.
A choice of six positions allows riders to tailor their riding position.
