The renowned Yamaha YZ85 is powered by a high-performance 85cc liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine, featuring the race-bred Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) for impressive acceleration off the line. It also boasts a lightweight frame and aluminum swingarm, adjustable suspension, large-diameter disc brakes, and a high-efficiency air intake—similar to the larger models. For optimal rider control, the YZ85 includes a flat seat, a slim body, and an ergonomic fuel tank. Completed with the striking Team Yamaha Blue color and new graphics, the YZ85 is designed to elevate your riding experience.
The 85cc liquid-cooled engine is equipped with the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS), which enhances overall performance and makes the bike easy to handle with its effective torque. With a high compression ratio and a close-ratio 6-speed transmission, the YZ85 offers exceptional acceleration and delivers race-winning power.
The YZ85 is designed specifically for aspiring junior racers, with a chassis that prioritizes strength, rigidity, and overall stability in handling. Its aluminum swingarm provides an excellent balance between longitudinal and torsional rigidity. Additionally, the lightweight, high-strength aluminum removable rear subframe helps to reduce the overall weight of the bike.
The adjustable handlebar mounts and taper-style handlebars let riders customize their position for comfort. The flat seat and narrow fuel tank design, along with slim body panels, enhance freedom of movement for better control and confidence.
Equipped with 36mm inner tubes, the inverted front forks provide optimised damping settings. Combined with the fully adjustable low friction cartridge forks, the YZ85 has the most sophisticated front fork design ever used on a youth YZ motocross bike.
Advanced intake design enables a more efficient airflow into the intake tract. The high-flow airbox ensures excellent filter performance and easy maintenance.
Big wave-style brake discs provide enhanced self-cleaning properties and improved cooling performance. The front disc measures 220mm, while the rear disc is 190mm, ensuring strong and precise stopping power. Additionally, the rear brake master cylinder features a built-in sub-reservoir, which offers a more linear brake response and greater control.
