The renowned 250cc four-stroke engine delivers exhilarating power throughout the rev range. Coupled with Yamaha's advanced next-generation Power Tuner App, it offers a level of tunability that the competition cannot match.
The YZ250F's liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve, fuel-injected powerplant features a forward-positioned straight downdraft intake with symmetrical intake ports, high-spec piston and aggressive cam profiles. The advanced four-stroke engine is known for its broad, usable powerband and class-leading low-end and mid-range torque.
The aluminum bilateral beam frame from the flagship YZ450F strikes the ideal balance between strength and flexibility. This design enhances handling, provides a lightweight feel, and improves front wheel traction, allowing riders to approach corners with greater confidence and more options.
Yamaha's Power Tuner App offers factory team support in your pocket, featuring an intuitive slide bar for engine mapping, traction and launch control tuning, a lap timer, and helpful tuning guides for engine and suspension.
KYB suspension has improved settings for better performance. The rear shock offers more traction and stability, with light spring rates and special piston shims. The front fork allows easy adjustments.
The optimised intake path draws air from under the side covers and seat allowing for a compact body design. This profile allows radiator shrouds to be slim with the airbox cover to be low and narrow. The efficient intake path also boosts mid- to high-rpm engine performance.
The Traction Control System relays wheel slip to the ECU, adjusting engine performance for optimal rear wheel traction. Users can select from three levels: HIGH, LOW, or OFF. The Launch Control System includes an adjustable rpm limiter, set in 500 rpm increments from 6,000 to 14,000 rpm for optimized launches. Both systems are managed via the Tuner App.
Switch between two engine maps with a handlebar-mounted button, easily adjusting to track or weather changes. Maps are preloaded and configured in the Power Tuner App.
The cross-sectional profile of each wheel has been carefully refined using computer technology to reduce weight while maintaining durability. The rear wheel features a distinctive three-cross-spoke pattern that enhances impact absorption and the overall riding experience.
