Yamaha's legendary YZ250 has garnered a massive following in the motorcycle community, thanks to its stunning acceleration, outstanding agility, and thrilling two-stroke sound. Whether on the track or on the trail, the exhilarating 250cc liquid-cooled engine delivers an immediate burst of power for holeshot-winning acceleration. The exclusive Yamaha Power Valve System provides plenty of torque in the low to mid-range. The industry-leading KYB® suspension offers excellent traction and plenty of feedback, while the slim bodywork and flat seat facilitate smooth rider movement during braking, accelerating, and cornering. The YZ250's sleek design, paired with the striking new 70th Anniversary Edition livery, adds a touch of iconic Yamaha style.
The impressive 250cc 2-stroke engine provides immediate power when needed. It comes with a YPVS (Yamaha Power Valve System) that enhances its torque and is paired with a 5-speed transmission. This small and lightweight engine is built to thrive in high-speed racing.
Race-inspired styling - from the sharp embedded graphics to the aggressive bodywork including front and rear fenders, blacked-out radiator shrouds and number plates, to the smaller details like fork guards, rear brake disc and calliper protectors, and wide footpegs - spotlights the YZ250's extensive two-stroke racing pedigree from every angle.
The fully adjustable KYB® 48mm forks feature the Speed Sensitive System, which uses piston speed to control the damping force for super-precise handling, superb bump absorption, and 300mm of suspension travel.
A carefully engineered, advanced aluminium frame and swingarm give the YZ250 the best handling in the 250cc class, while the removable aluminium rear subframe is constructed of square-section tubing for reduced weight.
The high-performance braking system features a 270mm front rotor, a 240mm rear rotor, large front pistons, and rigid callipers, all of which combine to provide exceptional braking power and feel.
Complete with an aluminium handlebar, a two-position adjustable handlebar clamp, wide footpegs, a gripper seat and an adjustable clutch lever with a works-style cable adjuster, the YZ250 is competition-ready straight out of the crate.
