Kawasaki introduces a revolutionary supersport model into a category dominated by 400cc sport models. The Ninja ZX-4R is powered by a 399cc In-Line Four engine housed in a compact chassis. Experience the exhilaration of the Ninja ZX-4R's unprecedented power, intoxicating high-rpm wail, and sharp, nimble handling on the track or on the street, which will undoubtedly awaken the dormant supersport within you.

A liquid-cooled 399cc inline-four engine with a peak power output of 77.5hp (which rises to 80hp with RAM air assistance) powers this diminutive sportbike, which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. This inline-four engine is housed in a brand-new steel trellis frame that is suspended by Showa suspension at both ends.

Another unusual feature for a small-capacity bike is the presence of twin 290mm disc brakes at the front, which are bitten down on by beefy Nissin four-piston radial callipers, despite the fact that a master cylinder is is an axial unit.

The suspension is another area where the specifications of the ZX-4R variants differ. The standard ZX-4R has the aforementioned SFF-BP forks and horizontal back-link rear suspension, but the ZX-4R SE and ZX-4RR have preload adjustable front forks and a Showa BFRC-lite rear shock.

Unlike the rest of Kawasaki's 'ZX' sports bike lineup, the new ZX-4R features a "high tensile" steel trellis chassis.

All of this technology is managed by a 4.3-inch Bluetooth-compatible colour TFT dash that includes turn-by-turn navigation and notification alerts. A separate Track layout on the dash displays only the gear position indicator, lap timer, and revs above 10,000rpm.
