The length of the pants is perfect but the knee cap protection padding is too low.

The quality of these pants feels solid. Very comfortable to wear. I added hip protectors to them. XL fits perfectly for me, for height 185 cm and weight 88 kg. Regarding Patrick's comment, the knee cap protection indeed is a bit low but it does not feel horrible on my legs (sport touring bike, knees slightly up). However, the pants are not waterproof. I bought them as my wet weather gears but it gets wet underneath pretty quickly during a moderate rain while riding for about 15 minutes. I had embarrassing wet markings in the crouch area and my *** got cold pretty quickly in the rain. When I took them off, I found water on my legs as well, small amounts but throughout. The water definitely did not get in from top or below as the pants joined well with my jacket (T-Jaws) and my boots were pretty high. Very disappointed as I put trust in Alpinestars. Not sure if anyone else has similar experience. Will contact Bikebiz for an opinion to find out if this can be a defect.
