BOOK A TEST RIDE

Retro rocket

One look over the timeless line, one listen to that classic burble and you know it’s the definitive air-cooled muscle bike . The fuel-injected XJR utilises contemporary engine technologies like a supersport derived fuel injection system, forged pistons with carburised rods and electroplated alloy cylinders, for contemporary performance. It’s the same story with the chassis – superbike spec brakes, wheels and tyres meet Öhlins rear suspension for brilliant steering and handling.

  1. What a bike!

Posted by Ian on 29th Nov 2011

I too have got the 2008. White with the blue stripe.
I bought it cause I thought it would be good for long distance touring. How right could I be. After 6 hours in the saddle no back ache. No arm ache. no neck ache. Sure a tad saddle sore but hey 6 hours, I just need to a bit more conditioning and its still new so the seat hasn't settled yet.Oh it was a superseeded model brand new but almost 2 years old. I would only change one thing. The front of the seat rises a bit high which wouldn't affect females. I love it, but a shorter person may find the ground a bit too far away. I say hey, don't buy any bike until you have at least tried one of these, as my brother says, "Big bikes rock". I say Get one.

  2. awsome

I have a 2008 model in white the best bike ever, heaps of grunt and handling to go with it. I also have a 2010 gsxr1000 anniversary model that goes like stink, but still prefer the xjr to ride.

  3. Awesome

Bought one a month ago- best bike i have ever owned, and i've owned a lot of bikes from cruisers to a heavily breathed on GSXR750.

Great vision for commuting, comfy seat, good mirrors, no vibration, easy to filter through traffic despite the weight and it has loads of presence. The engine is epic- the power is all there and all usable- it just pulls from any speed in any gear.

    Fantastic Bike!
