The KFX450R was designed with everything to keep it ahead of the pack, whether it’s ridden on the track or trail. Its engine comes straight from the World Supercross Championship-winning KX450F with the addition of digital fuel injection and a reverse gear for backing out of tight situations. The all new aluminium frame is both lightweight and rigid, plus it’s designed for superb handling and to allow the KFX450R to maximize traction without wasted wheelspin. Kawasaki made the KFX450R race-ready so that extensive, and expensive, modifications are unnecessary to put it ahead of the pack.

Racing Cockpit

The shape of the seat, tank and side covers on the KFX450R were specifically designed not only to not hinder the rider’s mobility as he moves around, but also to provide support when hanging off in corners.

High Performance 4-Stroke Engine

The KFX450R’s power plant, based on the highly acclaimed engine of the KX450F

motocrosser, was newly designed for use in an ATV racer. Adding fuel injection, an electric starter, fitting a reverse gear, lowering the centre of gravity, re-tuning the engine for low-mid range torque to suit the weight of an ATV, and revising the intake and exhaust systems are among the many changes.

Digital Fuel Injection

The KFX450R's fuel injection increases race competitiveness by eliminating a key disadvantage of carburettors: fixed engine settings. This means no more compromises when riding in varied conditions.

Race-ready Trick Bits

A Renthal FAT-BAR comes standard on the KFX450R. Tapered, the Renthal bar offers both strength and light weight.

Lightweight Competition-Style Frame

The KFX450R comes equipped with a high performance frame right from the start. It is the first ATV in its class to offer a completely aluminium chassis for pure lightweight performance.
