The boots are comfortable and quick and easy to put on, but took some breaking in as usual. These are fine for casual trail riding or ATV work. They do provide great protection to the foot and ankle. Two clips fix it to your foot and a velcro strap on the top make the boot secure enough but don't think walking any distance (say after a breakdown)is going to be any easier than the full length one, it's not. Can't make a call on durability at this point but they look solid. They are made for a purpose and they serve it well.
